Supporter members of the ANA will be recognised publicly as individuals or businesses that support the aims, philosophy and goals of ANA.

Individual supporters are people that regard professional nannies and mannies as a quality and legitimate childcare option for Australian families.

Business supporters are businesses that regard professional nannies and mannies as a quality and legitimate childcare option for Australian families.

Upon successful registration supporter members will receive:

Individual supporter members

  • Membership certificate with unique registration number.
  • Access to the quarterly newsletter.
  • Access to the ANA members-only Facebook support group.
  • Invitations to attend Annual General Meetings (AGM’s) & additional events.
  • Ability to nominate themselves for sub-committee positions (ineligible for executive committee positions).
  • Ability to vote for nominated persons to hold executive and sub-committee positions.

Business supporter members

  • Membership certificate with unique registration number.
  • Access to the quarterly newsletter.
  • Access to the ANA members-only Facebook support group.
  • Invitation to place a free advertisement in each quarterly newsletter.
  • Invitation to post events on the ANA Facebook page.
  • Business logo listing under the ‘Supporter’ section’ of the ANA website.
  • Ability to use the relevant ANA logo on their website and stationary.
  • Invitations to attend Annual General Meetings (AGM’s) & additional events.
  • Ability to nominate themselves for sub-committee positions (ineligible for executive committee positions).
  • Ability to vote for nominated persons to hold executive and sub-committee positions.

How do I become a supporter member of the Australian Nanny Association?

To become a supporter member of ANA you must:

  • Meet eligibility criteria as outlined below.
  • Complete, sign and submit the supporter membership application form.
  • Once approved, pay the appropriate annual supporter membership fee.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Be a minimum 18 years of age.
  • Be an individual that supports the aims, philosophy and goals of ANA (Appendix 1)

OR

Be a business (other than a nanny agency, see notes below) that supports the aims, philosophy and goals of ANA (Appendix 1).

  • Agree to the terms and conditions of membership (Appendix 2).

Please note:

  • Approval is at the discretion of the committee.
  • Various website businesses such as nanny/family matching websites often do not meet the criteria of supporting ANA’s philosophy (if they can be found to contradict ANA’s mission, aims and/or minimum standards). If this is the case they will not be granted membership approval. This includes but is not limited to websites who do not screen and check their nannies/clients or web businesses that allow payment of below minimum wage. Website businesses that DO meet the criteria however, are strongly encouraged to apply for membership.
  • Owners of nanny agencies that do not yet meet ANA’s “minimum two years in operation” criteria for agency membership are welcomed and encouraged to apply for individual supporter membership.

  • Individual supporter membership                   $50pa
  • Business supporter membership                      $500pa

Additional membership options are available. If you wish to hold more than one type of membership, you must be eligible for and pay the relevant fee for each membership type.
