The ANA volunteer committee is made up of Nanny Industry Members who are nominated each year at the AGM.  The management of the ANA is a shared responsibility across these volunteers as they donate their time to create a better nanny industry for everyone.

Caela Macilquham

President

Caela is a seasoned nanny of 11 years actively working full-time in Brisbane and the ANA’s FIRST nanny President. Caela is incredibly passionate about child development and creating a safe and secure space for children to thrive.  Caela takes great pride in providing amazing experiences of learning and helping kids slow down and get to know the world around them.

Caela loves bringing the nanny community together to create a community in what can feel like isolating role at times.  Caela is proactive in her community, creating a weekly nanny playgroup in Brisbane and hosting a sell-out nanny retreat in 2022.  Both things she looks forward to expanding in the years to come.

Caela looks forward to continuing to grow that community feeling through her ANA work and is eager to lead the team as President in 2023.

Joey de Boer

Joey is a career nanny, working in Melbourne and Brisbane over the last ten years. Joey holds a Diploma in Children’s Services and has also worked in Early Childhood Centers, OSHC and had her own children’s party entertainment business for over 5yrs.

As a nanny, Joey loves to become part of the family, focusing on the individual children whilst managing everything within the home also.

Joey was previously our Brisbane Nanny Rep whilst living there. Joey is a very social person, who is passionate about the nanny community and wanting to connect other Nannies together, recognising how important nanny friendships are through her own- nannies she has known through her whole career through networking and socializing.

Rachael Farrell

Rachael has worked with children for over 17 years in various capacities, holding a degree in Speech Pathology Rachael became a career nanny after moving to Australia to be with her husband. Her passions include working with neurodiverse children, teaching children to sign and strength in helping children with their communication skills in the early years.

Since having her own children Rachael works part-time and, as part of the ANA, looks forward to furthering her knowledge and understanding of the wider nannying community in Australia. Rachael has a passion for travel, having travelled the world extensively in her 20’s, reading and swimming. She loves being a part of a nanny family, helping parents in every way she can to make their lives run smoothly.

Lauren has spent the past ten years working with families as a nanny and childcare educator.  She holds a Diploma in Children’s Services and is passionate about delivering incredible learning journeys to support development in the early years.

Recently, Lauren stepped away from nanny work and into an entrepreneur career after growing her different nanny businesses.  Lauren now runs both a nanny agency and a nanny payroll company and loves to make better solutions for nannies and families to help them build strong, long term working relationships.

After 4 years as President, Lauren is stepping down to a mentor role to support the new committee as they take the ANA into the future.  She is passionate to see the community grow through more events, professional development and community engagement.

Annemarie is a founding member of the Australian Nanny Association. Annemarie felt that nannies were being misrepresented in the media and wanted to share their positive experiences working as and with nannies.

Annemarie has 20 years working with children including centre-based care, social welfare, nannying and currently as an Agency owner. Annemarie has a Diploma in Community Services and Certificate 3 in Children’s Services.  Annemarie runs her own Agency supporting parents in the search for nanny solutions and offers a wide range of Nanny corporate solutions

Annemarie is the longest-standing ANA committee member and was honoured with Life Membership in 2020 for her tireless efforts for the Australian Nanny Community.

Amanda Ferguson

Amanda is a nanny with 20 years of experience working in Australia and internationally. She loves working with children and families, and loves connecting with other nannies online and in person. She loves to travel, and has often travelled for conferences. Amanda is passionate about ongoing learning and professional development.

Amanda recognises the value of nanny care, which means you will see her advocating for nannies to be paid fairly and legally, sharing information and resources, and encouraging nannies to maintain professionalism. She also supports nannies with this through mentoring and support services.

Cryssie Range

Cryssie is a career Nanny, working within Adelaide. She has also worked with the early years industry and in primary schools across multiple sectors in both the city and country. Including as OSHC Director, Educational Leader, Teacher, allied health officer and more.

Being a Nanny has been a career highlight for Cryssie. She loves being able to make a positive and nurturing impact on the lives of the children and families she works with.

Cryssie has a passion for the Nanny industry and building up and connecting with other nannies.
