Janita Docherty is a Cybercrime Prevention and Internet Safety Specialist, retired Australian Police officer with 21 years’ service. Janita has an intricate knowledge on the workings of Facebook from a criminology perspective, a subject matter expert recognised for her work to achieve effective management of online issues and child protection. Her knowledge of police procedure and social media evidence collection, has assisted in online abuse investigations and successful prosecutions. Janita specialises in workshops on internet safety for professionals and has aided families to be safe online from predators, those escaping intimate partner violence and cyber harassment. She is on hand to help NGO’s around the globe to further protect children online.
