Kathleen will present on the topic of work health and safety management for nannies. Workplace Health and Safety Queensland recognises that nannies work in a situation that presents unique risks, and where they are largely not in control of their own work environment and have limited management support continually on site. This presentation will outline the basics of health safety management, and will provide templates and tips that owners and managers of nanny agencies can take up and adapt to suit their own business needs.
I am a Small Business Safety Advisor with Workplace Health and Safety Queensland, currently responsible for implementing the Small Business Program in the Gold Coast region of Queensland. I have been in the field of health and safety for over 20 years and have special interests in topics of child care and general industry.
I have extensive presentation experience, with a significant part of my role being to present to groups of small business owners and other stakeholders. I regularly conduct topical workshops on work health and safety to audiences of around 15 people, with presentations to audiences of up to 100 stakeholders.
