Monica Zidar is a Registered Music Therapist who has been practising for fifteen years, on the Gold Coast. She has a special interest in Music Therapy early intervention for children with special needs and the use of music in early childhood to promote development and attachment. Monica owns Music with Monica, which currently runs twelve, community-based, early childhood music programs for babies and young children (0-4 years of age) and their parents/caregivers on the Gold Coast and Northern NSW. These groups are run by Registered Music Therapists who use live, developmentally focused musical play to engage children in developmentally appropriate learning activities that promote communication, social and emotional development, and the development of cognitive and motor skills.
In addition to community-based programs, Monica is a government approved early intervention service provider for children with Autism and works in private practice and has been the Registered Music Therapist at Musgrave Hill Early Childhood Development Program, since 2001.
