The ANA volunteer committee is made up of Nanny Industry Members who are nominated each year at the AGM.  The management of the ANA is a shared responsibility across these volunteers as they donate their time to create a better nanny industry for everyone.

Annemarie

Vice President 

Annemarie is a founding member of the Australian Nanny Association. Annemarie felt that nannies were being misrepresented in the media and wanted to share their positive experiences working as and with nannies. Annemarie has 20 years working with children including centre based care, social welfare, nannying and currently as an Agency owner. Annemarie has a Diploma in Community Services and Certificate 3 in Children’s Services.  Annemarie runs her own Agency supporting parents in the search for nanny solutions.

Lauren Brown

President

Lauren has spent the past ten years working with families in the Nanny and Childcare industry.  She holds a Diploma in Children’s Services and is passionate about delivering incredible learning journeys to support development in the early years.

Lauren is an active member of Melbourne’s entrepreneur circles as she launches a range of startup solutions to the Nanny Industry. Lauren is passionate about growing the ANA to support the community through industry changes and represent our industry in stakeholder discussions with the Australian Tax Office, the Fair Work Ombudsman, and the Federal Government.

Megan Ang

Secretary 

Megan is a dynamic career nanny and educator with a passion for seeing children and families thrive! She has 20 years experience as a live in and out nanny for busy professional families, has held Youth Work and Education Support roles in schools and has volunteered for Youth organisations. She holds a Bachelor Degree and a Cert.IV in Education Support. Megan joined the ANA in 2020 and is keen to see nannies supported in their career, bring professionalism to the role, and build strong connections for ANA members through social activities and online learning! She is available for mentorship for nannies newer to the industry to help them shine!

Amanda Salmon

Nanny/Manny Membership Officer

Amanda is a certificate 3 qualified veteran in the nanny industry having worked as a career nanny in the homes of Brisbane families for 20 years. Her experience lead her to launch an introduction agency with a focus on supporting nannies and families alike through professional employment agreements and ongoing, positive communication.

Amanda is passionate about educating clients on the expectations as an employer and encouraging nannies to recognise their self worth.

Daria Jelcic

Treasurer

Daria has a Masters in Teaching (birth to 12 years) and spent a number of years teaching in NSW public schools.  Daria runs her own business, which provides a platform for parents to connect with Early Childhood professionals who provide care and developmentally appropriate learning experiences for children in home environments.

Daria is excited to use her position as treasurer to be a part of the changes that are happening in the Nanny industry within Australia.

Amanda Ferguson

Amanda is a nanny with 20 years of experience working in Australia and internationally. She loves working with children and families, and loves connecting with other nannies online and in person. She loves to travel, and has often travelled for conferences. Amanda is passionate about ongoing learning and professional development.

Amanda recognises the value of nanny care, which means you will see her advocating for nannies to be paid fairly and legally, sharing information and resources, and encouraging nannies to maintain professionalism. She also supports nannies with this through mentoring and support services.
