Joanne and the RISA Committee established the first national medical Reflux Conference in Australia – the purpose to educate and further understand Peadiatric Gastroenterology – Infant Reflux.
Prior to becoming a mum, Joanne had an extensive career in State and Local Government and also held the position of Mayor of Hurstville, NSW.RISA Inc is a non profit community group that offers support to families of infants and children who suffer from gastro-oesophageal reflux and its complications. Recognising signs and symptoms, severity, management, referral and resources are just some of the information Joanne will be sharing with us to help us further in our role supporting families.
