Are you street safe? We love our jobs as nannies but there is risk in some of the work we do such as arriving late at night or starting early in the morning.
Some of us work with high profile families or have to visit areas that might be isolated or in high risk locations.
‘Street Safe is our curriculum specifically designed for women. Street Safe primarily teaches defence against sexual assault. Rather than attempting to use force to fight off an attack, we provide women with strategies to successfully defend an attack, escape a situation and survive an attack with the use of proper body mechanics and leverage.’
Robbie Singh is the head instructor at Sendai Gracie Jiu Jitsu with 9 years of experience practicing Jiu Jitsu. Robbie currently has the honour of holding the rank of brown belt under Professor David Krstic.
In Addition to Jiu Jitsu, Robbie has over 18 years of martial arts experience.
ANA is thankful Robbie is coming to our Nanny Convention to teach us how to be street safe.
